​At Broadgate Search, which is part of Trinnovo Group we strive to help drive change, by having meaningful discussions, to help raise awareness, discuss experiences, reflect on progress but also highlight where there is room for improvement.

This month to coincide with the UK Black History Month (BHM), our internal ethnicity employee engagement group made up of Shami Chinyadza, Steven Fuller, Joshua Greaves, Eleonore Bilambo, Jonathan Wilson-Kouevi organised a variety of initiatives to get our team together.

Steve Fuller hosted an educational Black History Month quiz, Joshua Greaves led an employee ping pong-athong in aid of RunnyMede Trust and Shami Chinyadza hosted a live Q&A with the author who wrote ‘Hairvolution’, Saskia Calliste. The book is a collection of interviews of thirty Black women between the ages of 18 – 80 to discuss their hair journeys - it's more than a book, it’s a movement. We touched on her inspiration to write the book, cultural appropriation, and ‘professionalism’ in the workplace in an open Q&A.
