This October, in line with Black History Month, our Ethnicity Network hosted a variety of events throughout the month to 'Celebrate Our Sisters'.
Black women have been at the forefront of the fight for civil rights, gender equality, and social justice. They have shown unparalleled strength and resilience in the face of adversity. From civil rights activists like Rosa Parks, who took a stand for justice by refusing to give up her bus seat, to trailblazers like Maya Angelou and Toni Morrison, who used their words to inspire and empower generations, Black women have left an incredible mark on our world.
But our celebration is not limited to historical figures. It extends to every Black woman who continues to break barriers, shatter ceilings, and make an indomitable impact on our society. From the young girl in a classroom dreaming of a brighter future to the seasoned professional mentoring the next generation, Black women's contributions are felt every day.
The team explored:
👩🏿💼Unveiling the everyday Black women who are a constant source of inspiration, setting our hearts on fire with their excellence

💼 Providing insights into the true essence of professionalism, and how it transforms the workplace and society at large
👭🏾 Urging everyone to throw their hands in the air and celebrate themselves for the incredible individuals they are
👥 Breaking down the walls between one's authentic self and the work persona, championing the cause of bringing your full self to the workplace
✊🏿 Revealing the unspoken responsibility that comes with representing every Black woman and how it shapes the path forward
